Blog Tour & Giveaway: Inn on the Edge by Gail Bridges

I received a copy of Inn on the Edge as a part of this blog tour.

Newly weds Angie and Josh are heading off to their honeymoon at a mystery location called the Inn on the Edge. When they get there they both feel a strange sensation as if something is wrong, but that quickly passes and the couple settle into their first night as a married couple. But soon the games that are being played at the Inn start to change, and Angie and Josh find themselves doing things that they never normally would have, with each other, and with the other guests. Realising something is wrong, the couple have to figure out how to break the spell over them and escape the Inn.

Wow. I didn't expect that! I literally didn't put this book down from picking it up, and I don't regret anything! Not even the lack of sleep! Though I should warn anyone, the book does contain scenes of a sexually explicit nature, and though the story was enjoyable then, when the sex stopped and the suspense kicked in, I enjoyed the book so much more!

I thought that the way that the story was crafted was interesting, as a reader you could tell that something was wrong, but the characters had very little idea (though this is probably down to the fact that the characters forgot anything that Adi didn't want them to remember). And that really did make the story chilling.

As a reader you could also see the various characters becoming more and more enraptured with each other, whereas at first it was strange for them to be attracted to someone other than their spouse, eventually it did just turn out to be anyone with everyone, which no longer seemed odd to the characters, just odd to the reader!

I loved this book far more than I thought I would, and you should definitely check it out if you're a fan of horror or suspense and aren't put off by a bit of sex!

Angela and her brand-new husband Josh have just arrived at their honeymoon destination, a romantic bed-and-breakfast hotel on the breath-taking Washington coast - the Inn on the Edge. But everything isn't as it seems. The lessons that come free with the room aren't for painting the lovely coastal scenery - the lessons are for better sex. Angie and Josh, shocked and titillated, immerse themselves in every sensual offering. It doesn't take long for things to go horribly wrong. The discover that the old man running the place is a sex demon, who has been stealing their sensual energy. Worse, he's dangerously in love with Angie and he has plans for her - plans involving an heirloom wedding ring.

About the author

I have three grown children. I live in Seattle, Washington with my husband and our five cats. In the past I have worked in a variety of different artistic media. I have a BFA in painting from the University of Washington, and for over fifteen years I made award-winning Fine Art Jewelry (silver and handmade ceramics) and sold my work at local and regional Fine Art and Craft shows. My business, Vivid Arts, flourished - but always, I felt driven to write. Two years ago, no longer able to deny the writing muse, I took an open-ended sabbatical from my art shows. Since then, I've written two novels and a number of published and unpublished short stories.
