Book: A Timeless Seduction by Rainey Daye

I received a copy of A Timeless Seduction from Netgalley in exchange for my review.

Kyle is 34 and works as a historian for the Double T Agency. Having experienced the devastation left behind after a volcano eruption, he takes on a less dramatic assignment unearthing a temple. There he meets Peter, a man who only stays engaged to his fiancee for her connections, and continues to cheat on her. As soon as Kyle sees Lily though he knows that he has to have her, knowing that she is the first woman that he has ever really wanted for himself. What starts as a way to teach Peter a lesson soon morphs into something else entirely, much to everyone's surprise.

I read the first book in this series a while back and enjoyed it, but this book took it to a whole new level! There was more of a focus on the characters and their relationships with each other than on the physical side of things, which I think added to my enjoyment of the book.

I think one of the main things about it was the sweetness of Kyle and Lily's relationship. Despite the fact that they both wanted to, they didn't just jump into bed, instead they took their time getting to know each other. Mainly because of Lily's charming nativity. The sweetest bit was probably seeing Kyle try to help Lily overcome her fears and panic attacks.

You don't have to have read the first book in order to understand the events of this one as the role of the Double T Agency is made clear, and the characters are different. But you do get a short catch up on what Eric and Tessa are doing in their own time (the complexities of time travel there).

This book also gives you a really good character to hate: Peter. There was just something about him that even made trying to find a redeeming feature virtually impossible!

I enjoyed this book, definitely a better rounded story that the first one (though the first was enjoyable too!)
