Jaydan Rose and Hope Powers can not be in the same room without argueing with each other, despite the fact that neither will admit to being attracted to the other. When it becomes clear that Natalie Meeks sister, Keegan, who has been missing since she was a little girl, may still be alive, Hope persuades Jaydan to take her with him to get her back. Jaydan's recent enhancement of super strength is sure to come in useful, though the reaction it has to Hope isn't entirely planned. As the tension between them mounts it could become pivotal to the job, and change both of their lives forever.
I've loved The D.I.R.E Agency from the beginning, and Agent S5 Jaydan is no different, and at the risk of repeating what I've said with each new book I've read, I think this one was my favourite, mostly because of Hope. Ultimately she wasn't one to sit around and wait to be saved, or one to want to be (though there was a point where she had to accept it) and she wasn't scared to give Jaydan a what for. This made her likeable as a character and made the relationship between the two of them really work.
It was clear from the beginning that Jaydan and Hope were meant for each other, even if the reader hadn't been aware that they were attracted to each other. The tension between them, particularly when they were bickering made it clear that there was something there, and that they were doing their best just to ignore it. This culminated in a series of events that led them to bed, though even that didn't go as smoothly as they imagined! The chemistry was definitely there, but it took them a while to move past the tension!
The super powers element worked well again, with each of the current D.I.R.E Agents having a different super power, and often working together. There was also a big set up for the next big bad guy, who seems to have access to a lot of science himself, including time travel which was introduced in Agent T3 d'Artagan (Dar's super power was time travel). I'm excited to see what happens next!
With the next two agents already lined up I can't wait to see what happens next!

Agent S5: Jaydan (D.I.R.E. Agency #5) by Joni Hahn Publication Date: December 18, 2014 Genre: Sci-fi Romantic Suspense
His half smile made her toes curl, his voice a husky croon. “My turn.”
By day, Joni Hahn keeps her secret decoder ring hidden while she works as a mild-mannered HR manager and accounting generalist. She believes the world can never have too many superheroes, and anxiously waits for the call when one will need help saving the world... or getting into his costume. Joni was born with a hopelessly tender heart and believes there is nothing on earth more exhilarating than falling in love (Other than the rear shot of Chris Evans in The Avengers - that was pretty darn exhilarating). A native Texan, she thinks cowboys are the epitome of masculinity, and that country music is the other soul music.
