Ever since seeing a picture of a lavender eyed model, vampire Yates has been unable to even think of other women, and he knows that she's his mate. Model Kelly thinks her dreams have come true when Yates wants to photograph her when even his voice makes her hot. When at the photo shoot, the pair can barely restrain themselves and find themselves acting on their fantasies...

I enjoyed Ambient Light, it was a quick read, and I did think that everything about it reflected that, but as with Roth's other books I found that there was a lot of story packed into the short page length.

The sex scenes were heated, and definitely not for anyone that feels weird about kinkier sex. There was a threesome (though not a traditional menage, and it only lasted for one scene) as well as some hints of bondage between the two MCs. It kept things hot that's for sure.

I liked how the rivalry between vampires and shifters came through in this book, and it didn't even just stop with regular vampires/shifters, but it did leak through a bit even into Yates and Kelly's relationship. I thought it made it more interesting as well as building the universe!
